I had a very mixed and frustrating experience!
My association with Bob all started years ago when i started placing odd-to bets with them. This was when i was new to gambling, was young and naive. I didn’t record results properly, my stakes varied and so did the results. Sometimes i lost, sometimes i won, but overall i seemed to be sending more money to them than i managed to make after the mixed results. This is a service (odds-to) i would NOT recommend!
HOWEVER!!! After ignoring their letters for many years and having refused to send them previous winnings (after making such an overall loss), they sent me through an interesting letter that caught my interest, detailing a brand new service that they were launching (this is the service that is detailed in the description above and currently offered on their website under the new name of
Horse Racing Pro). What they were offering was a trial of the new service from launch. As one of the first subscribers to this service, i would have a continued discount (£295/month after initial trial @£95/month, instead of what i think was going to be about a grand a month to new members. This was also without the current profit share). This was for the FULL service with all the daily selections sent straight to my phone including late info.
Anyway, at the time i was on a low income, working night shifts, but trying to stay up as much as i could during the day to place these bets. The results? For all selections received, between 5/6/08 and 25/2/09, at STARTING PRICES, and after my discounted monthly payments it made a loss of £1113.75 at £10/point. HOWEVER, that was @SP! If i’d managed to place the exact same bets at the advised prices, i would’ve made a profit of well over £20,000!! My actual results were somewhere between the two. On a low income and with placing bets @£10/pt, there were many days (normally saturdays) when i would be placing over a grand in bets (more than my monthly income!). This meant that far too often i’d run out of money after a few losers (ALL services have them of course) and not have enough to place the following bets that duly obliged and would’ve made me a profit (hence the frustration)!! It was this that led to MY failure to make money from the service! It was just too expensive for me to afford (even with my heavy discount) but i continued using the service for as long as i possibly could, seeing that the results were there and hoping for a run of good results that would give me a large enough betting bank to sustain itself, which in december 08 i came very close to achieving. Having taken a few weeks off work due to sickness, i made over £6000 within about 2 weeks. Unfortunately, later in the month and during january (a traditional time of bad results for me), they followed up with a string of bad results that even £6000 at my stakes was not enough to sustain, made worse by the coincidental timing of my job loss!
So to conclude, from my personal experience, i found it to be a highly commendable service and one that i will consider using again (when i have the money this time!) and would recommend WITH CAUTION – to get the advised price is not always easy (many bookmakers will restrict the size of your bets and the price will often drop extremely quickly as they start cr*pping themselves), also this was made worse as the amount of people subscribed to the service meant that you received your txt in order of those who have been with the service the longest (so should you join now, assuming all is the same, you’d be the last to receive the info, making it even harder to get the advised price). But the main issue would have to be the money. I stuck to £10/point stakes as that is what i felt was needed to make the cost of the service pay for itself, but that was ultimately out of my price range – and that was when i was only paying about 15% of the current price for that same service!
